UPDATE – The screening has been moved to a much larger venue (The Vista, with a huge screen!) to enable more JAWS fans to catch the screening and see JAWS screenwriter Carl Gottlieb honored. Tickets already purchased for the Los Feliz theater will be honored at The Vista.

Fans of JAWS ripoffs and cheesy SyFy movies won’t want to miss “Dinoshark“, premiering March 13th 9:00/8:00 Central on the SyFy Channel. The “film” stars Eric Balfour (“Six Feet Under”, “24″) and Iva Hasperger and was produced by the legendary Roger Corman.

David Brown, who produced JAWS with Richard Zanuck in 1975, has passed away. He was 93. Legendary Producer Brown also produced The Sting , Cocoon, The Verdict, Road to Perdition and Driving Miss Daisy. Brown received four Oscar nominations. His sole survivor is his wife of over 50 years, Helen Gurley Brown.
A public funeral will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 3:30 p.m. at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel (1076 Madison Avenue at 81st Street) in New York City.
