Hello all. My name is Dave and I live in NYC. I work as a TV editor and I am reasonably content with the way life has turned out.

And lately I've been feeling more and more that JAWS is probably the greatest film in the history of the cinema. Yes, I have been a fan since I first saw it during the '79 re-release when I was 8 years old.

I space out the times that I view it (once or twice every OTHER year within a two week window of the 4th of July). That helps to really work up an appetite for the movie.

It has surpassed the original STAR WARS as my all time favorite film. All of the tinkering with STAR WARS and the release of the prequels have seriously compromised my adoration for a galaxy far far away.

But after viewing JAWS last week, I am astounded at how much I enjoyed watching this movie yet again after having seen it many times over the years.

I lift my beer to toast 35 years of JAWS, the greatest film of all time...!

    Hi everyone,

My name's Kriss, I'm 41 & originally from London but now live on the Isle of Man (a small island in the Irish Sea for those who don't know).

I'm a massive KISS fan & have been a Jaws fanatic since it's release. Like a lot of people on here around my age, seeing it for the first time is a magical memory that will stay with me forever. Even Star Wars didn't get in the way!

I'm looking forward to browsing the forums and chatting about all things Jaws & shark related.

I'm new so be gentle with me!

Currently live in NJ but have aspirations of moving out to L.A. Have lots of friin the Business and whom live out there so there's encouragemnt from many.

Hoping to make many friends here and expand my already huge Jaws family.

    Hi,

    I'm Kyle from the UK.

Jaws has been my favourite film for about as long as I can remember. It is the one film that if I catch it on tv I have to watch the rest. To me it represents perfect film making, the combination of a brilliant cast, compelling story and talented crew.

My name is James Michael Williams. I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. I have been a Jaws fan for many years now and to this day it remains my favorite movie of all. I was only 8 when I first saw Jaws and merely watched it as a child would, but through the years, as I gradually got into film-making with my best friend and his dad's super 8mm camera, I watched Jaws more and more as a very real and very human story and oooooh what a story !!! This site does extreme justice to, by far, the greatest thrill ride of a movie ever made ! Cameron's a good visual artist,.... but Spielberg is a MASTER storyteller !

    'Nuff said !

Hey up, Im Craig or Ukan if you want, Im 34 from England, just a massive fan of the movie, no expert or geek on the subject I just love the film.

Which is why im here everybody likes the film but nobody really wants to talk about it like I do. So this is the perfect place to do that.

Hi Guys, Crispin here! I'm a Personal Trainer up in Toronto. I don't remember a time without Bruce. I have loved him all of my life. When I was a kid I saw the crews in MV making JAWS 2 the film. All of the signs said Amity and I saw Bruce in person. When I was even younger, I wanted to read JAWS but my parents thought that I would be too scared. I woke up early every Saturday and read a chapter- I was five years old! First novel I ever read! When I was done I told them what I had done and they were very impressed. FINALLY, the movie came on tv and I tried to watch it; Ben Gardner's head popped out of the boat's hull and I panicked and went to bed. This happened several times. I finally saw it and yes, I have been studying sharks and that's why I'm going to tell you that I have a shark problem. Why'd I have to tell you that? Sounds like you all have the same problem!! I love great whites, makos, blues, but for some reason, this shark, this mechanical monstrosity with the jowls and the weird marking from his right eye tracing down to his mouth makes my heart go pitter pat!! I love him. I draw him, paint him, collect him, watch him. Bruce rules.

Hi all. Im Jamie and have been a huge Jaws fan for as long as I can remember. Infact my very first memory of Jaws is my dad telling my mum off for not telling me about Ben Gardeners head popping out the bottom of the boat in that great scene. I couldnt of been 6 or 7 at the time and it made me cry, but have been hooked ever since. hope to meet fellow Jaws fans around sometime.
