What is the plot of JAWS?
A Great White Shark terrorizes the resort town of Amity. The local police chief wants to close the beaches but the mayor will not allow it because of the potential harm to the town's tourism during the lucrative Fourth of July weekend. After several shark attacks, the mayor relents and the town hires a crusty old mariner to kill the shark. The mariner, accompanied by the chief and a shark expert, takes to the sea in his leaky boat to try and stop the shark.

Finally, JAWS - The Revenge featured Lorraine Gary.
NEW 5/23/01
-- in the JAWS 2 DVD documentary, the producers claim that Spielberg was approached after original directory John Hancock was fired. Spielberg would return to direct JAWS 2 only if Richard Dreyfuss would return and he could scrap everything start from scratch. Needless to say, the producers didn't want that to happen ...

What happened to the mechanical sharks used in the JAWS movies? What happened to the Orca?
The 3 Bruces rotted and were rehabbed by 1976 as Brucette.
The sea-sled was rehabbed by Mattey himself and hung up at The Visitors Entertainment Center until the early 90's - then it vanished.
The Orca was docked at Universal Studios Hollywood until 1996.
The Orca II rotted away somewhere back east on Martha's Vineyard.
Ben Gardner's boat, and the two Amity billboards still exist at Universal Hollywood.
The 3 Brucette's were "struck" after their use and were barely recognizable the following year.
The full-sized 3-D shark may have suffered the same fate. As for the motion control, stop motion and half sharks that PSE created, they may be in the hands of their creators.
Most of the Revenge fish are gone. Only the "Swimmer" exists at Florida I believe.
Florida inherited a lot of Revenge props.
Universal Hollywood used to store all of the old sharks behind the JAWS attraction, but they all turned out to be "attraction sharks".
There are parts of the fish all over the Hollywood lot today. The "Brucette" head mold is stored near a parking sructure. The "Bruce" body is in Valencia, Ca. These are both still in use for the JAWS Attack Hollywood attraction.
